Hernandez earns third call-up of the season
SAN ANTONIO (April 23, 2024) – San Antonio FC midfielder Jorge Hernandez have been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week following the team’s 3-1 win at Hartford Athletic Saturday.
Hernandez continues to lead the league this season in chances created, adding four more in the road victory, while also recording two shots and completing 44 of 48 passes. The midfielder put up another solid two-way performance, winning four of five tackles and seven of 10 ground duels.
The award marks Hernandez’s team-leading third Team of the Week appearance this season, bringing SAFC’s total to seven this season.
Hernandez and San Antonio return to action Saturday as the team travels to take on Miami FC. The match is set to kick off at 6:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Bally Sports Southwest. This season is presented by Toyota.
