SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 6, 2024) – San Antonio FC has signed defender Kendall Burks, pending league and federation approval. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kendall to the team,” said SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina. “Kendall’s exceptional skills in one-on-one duels and adaptability across various backline positions have us eagerly prepared to assist in his growth within our environment. Before turning pro, Burks starred at the University of Washington, earning back-to-back Pac-12 Second Team honors. During his time with the Huskies, he tallied five goals and three assists in 38 matches while helping the team reach the 2021 NCAA College Cup Final. Burks’ collegiate career began at California State University, Bakersfield, where he appeared in 37 matches, playing every minute of his freshman campaign and being named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Freshman team. While in college, the Tacoma, Washington native also spent time with the Seattle Sounders U23 squad.
