CF Montréal Loanee Finished Season with Eight Goals, Four Assists
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 8, 2023) – San Antonio FC midfielder Rida Zouhir has been named one of three finalists for Young Player of the Year, the league announced today. While on loan from CF Montréal of Major League Soccer, Zouhir scored eight times to finish second on the team.
Zouhir finished the season with a goal scored every 219.4 minutes on average, the third-most on the team among players with more than 10 games played. Zouhir’s four assists on the season were the third-most on the team, and his 73.8% passing accuracy was the second-most among players with over 100 passes attempted.
Zouhir is joined by Charleston’s Fidel Barajas and Phoenix’s Rocco Rios Novo as finalists for the annual award.
