Brazilian Forward Scored, Assisted in 3-3 Draw with Tampa Bay
SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 19, 2023) – San Antonio FC forward Nathan Fogaça has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, the league announced today. Fogaça made his first start of the season on Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Fogaça scored and assisted in the 3-3 draw, after joining the team last week on loan from the Portland Timbers. Fogaça previously spent the 2021 season with San Antonio, leading the team with 11 goals.
The forward finished with three chances created and two shots on frame in the draw, with two tackles and a blocked shot on the defensive end.
Fogaça and SAFC are at home this weekend, hosting Orange County SC in a clash between two top-three teams in the Western Conference. Kickoff from Toyota Field is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, with tickets still available at SanAntonioFC.com or the SAFC app. The match will also be broadcast on ESPN+ and Bally Sports Southwest Extra.
