Forward Has Scored 22 Career MLS Goals in 154 Matches
SAN ANTONIO (April 12, 2023) – San Antonio FC has signed veteran MLS forward Erik Hurtado to a 25-day contract, pending league and federation approval. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

He is a proven MLS attacker with significant game experience,” said SAFC head coach Alen Marcina. “Erik is a powerful and explosive vertical player, with a proven ability to score goals, and has displayed throughout his career the commitment to pressing actions. He is motivated to learn and adapt to our team identity as quickly as possible”
Hurtado joins SAFC with 11 seasons of MLS experience, playing for four teams and playing in 154 matches, starting 64. The forward has scored 22 goals and assisted 11 times, including three goals with Columbus Crew last year.
Prior to turning pro, Hurtado played for four seasons with Santa Clara University, earning WCC Player of the Year honors as a senior.
SAFC heads to Kentucky this weekend for a Saturday USL Championship Final rematch with Louisville City FC. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, and will be streamed on ESPN+.
